Local listings are particularly helpful when shoppers want to know more about a dealership’s business hours and reviews from previous customers. If you use local listings in the following ways, you can generate more buzz for your dealership and maximize profits.

Focus on Top Directories


You may be inclined to put your dealership in as many local listing directories as possible. A more effective strategy, though, may be to focus on the top directories first. This provides a good starting point and gives you plenty of time to fill out information correctly before venturing off to lesser-known directories.

But what directories are the most popular? You can find out by looking at each directory’s domain authority (DA). This score predicts how well a website will rank on search engine pages. DA is scored on a 100-point logarithmic scale. Directories that score well usually have a large volume of high quality external links.
